Choices Made During Design Process

• For tracking heart rate and breathing rate, several options were available. Our team chose to design the solution using a PPG sensor which is an optical sensor that is non-invasive and safe to use.
• User health data is to be kept confidential which is why our team will build anonymity into our design so that user data cannot be identified to an individual.

Potential User Concerns

• A user may be nervous to use this technology because a device that can read his or her heart rate may seem pervasive on his or her privacy.
• A user may worry that the VR headset will not be as comfortable to wear since it has a sensor attached to the forehead pad.
